St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Keep your umbrellas and other rain gear handy, because even more showers are expected for St. Kitts and Nevis overnight Thursday (Aug 30) and possibly continue early Friday morning.
Senior Met Officer Elmo Burke says the rainy weather over the past two days is as a result of instability associated with the passage of an active tropical wave.
“From since yesterday on the 29th we started being affected by a tropical wave that continued into today and should persist up to tonight where we should be getting some more showers and some possible thunderstorms.”
He said as we enter the peak of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, a ramp up of activity is already being seen in the waters off the African Coast, thereby increasing the chances of development of weather systems.[ Read More ]
