BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POPULARLY known for its sponsorship of the Conaree Premier League team, SOL Island Auto Supplies had collaborated with a non-profit organisation, Champs for Charity, to assist an ailing individual who is seeking treatment in Cuba.
The company on Wednesday (July 13), along with Champs for Charity, handed over an undisclosed sum of money to one of its ailing employee, Fedel Wilson.
Wilson has been employed with the company for some 12-year and last year he was in Cuba to remove a tumour from his body. However, another one has developed on his face and he is expected to leave shortly for a repeat operation in the Spanish-speaking country.
At the Bird Rock office of SOL Island Auto Supplies, Shirley Julius, Chair of Champs for Charity, handed over the donation to Wilson in the presence of his boss, Sylvester Williams.
Julius explained that Williams and his establishment have been very generous every time her charitable organization calls upon them.
She pointed out that hr organisation had recognized that Wilson needed help, so they went onboard to partner with Williams, “who needed the assistance to send his employee overseasâ€.
Like Julius, Williams stated that the young man would be travelling for treatment overseas.
