POLICE confirmed yesterday (Sept. 22) that it was indeed a single gunshot wound that killed 21-year-old Guyanese national Andrew Douglas.

According to the Police Force, an autopsy conducted on the man’s body by resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nunez, concluded that death was as a result of severe traumatic brain injury caused by a single gunshot wound to the head.That autopsy was conducted on Monday, September 21.

Police, in a statement on the incident, explained that they are investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred at the Customs Department in Bird Rock on September 17, 2020.Their early investigations revealed that 21-year-old Andrew Douglas, who was a Customs Officer at the Department, received a single gunshot wound to the head.
