Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 14, 2019 (SKNVIBES)

CRICKET WEST INDIES (CWI) has welcomed the announcement of all-rounder Dwayne Bravo that he has ended his retirement from International Twenty 20 Cricket and would be available for selection.

One person who is overjoyed at the announcement is CWI President Richard ‘Ricky’ Skerritt, after the Trinidadian said he would be available for West Indies selection in 2020, the year of the next ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.“Bravo has the performance track record that should never have been lost from the West Indies cricket talent pool. One of the reasons Dr. Shallow and myself sought the Presidency was to review the team selection policy.
He added that the possibility that Bravo, a former West Indies captain, could again be a fierce and formidable all-rounder in his maroon colors is a welcomed possibility.Bravo, like several other senior players including former captain Darren Sammy, were sidelined after West Indies victory at the 2016 World T20 over comments made following the regional side’s victory.
