FOLLOWING the successful staging of the World Creole Music Festival, Prime Minister of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit has called snap elections, set for December 6th.
In a national address this evening (Nov. 6), Skerrit announced that Nominations Day would be on Friday, November 18th, while the General Elections will take place just over three weeks later.
He also announced that the Cabinet has been dissolved with immediate effect as its members have begun the process of preparing for the elections.
“I have asked that a fresh writ be issued on Monday 7th November, 2022 for the holding of General Elections in the Commonwealth of Dominica,” Skerrit said.
