Coronavirus forces SKNFA to suspend season

DESPITE no confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in the Federation, another sporting event has suspected its season due to the threat the virus poses, and the challenge of large gatherings.On Saturday, March 21, the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) announced that it is putting the season on pause following consultations with health authorities in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The move, according to the governing body, is being taken as a precautionary measure to immediately suspend all football activities indefinitely.“The SKNFA will continue to closely monitor the developments as it relates to COVID-19 in St. Kitts and Nevis and shall further advise its stakeholders on the resumption of football activities on April 15 2020. All stakeholders are encouraged to continue to adhere to the guidelines and recommendations of the world, regional and local health authorities and to keep safe during this challenging period.
