Douglas: Passport Case A Waste Of Taxpayers Money

Leader of the Opposition former Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas may be confident that he will triumph in the legal battle with the government over his possession and use of a diplomatic passport issued by Dominica.

The Attorney General brought a case against Dr. Douglas seeking to have him disqualified as an elected member of parliament for what Prime Minister Timothy Harris says is an act of disloyalty to St. Kitts and Nevis. The Prime Minister initially claimed that Dr. Douglas was a citizen of Dominica and therefore had breached the National Assembly Elections (Amendment) Act of 2009.
