THE finals of the 2022 Senior Calypso Monarch is set and will see five women leading a sterling lineup to dethrone the reigning Monarch, King Astro.
Following a two-night eliminations over the weekend, Empress Lyrics – ‘The Fat Pork Tree’, King Hollywood – ‘Karma is a Switch’, Queen Queeny G – ‘Same Finger’, King Honesty – ‘Police Arrest Me’, and Queen Diva – ‘What Goes Around’, King Craig singing ‘Something to Rally Behind’, Queen Independent – ‘The Cure’, King Socrates – ‘Double Slice’, and Queen Kibi – ‘I want de Real Thing’ have all moved through to the Finals of the competition.
King Craig topped the elimination round with 247 points, closely followed by Queen Independent (242) and King Socrates (238).
