St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The effect on countries attempting to assist neighboring islands that have been affected by disasters such as hurricanes can be telling.

That conclusion, from three officials in the federation, who have been discussing the impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria on Dominica and other islands.

The three: National Disaster Coordinator Abdias Samuel, Director of the Nevis Disaster Department Brian Dyer and Senior Met Officer Elmore Burke, addressed the issue.

They raised the issues of food security, health concerns and related matters.
