Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis Appoints Two Ambassadors-at-large to Further Strengthen Diplomatic Relations

The Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis recently appointed two nationals to the position of Ambassador-at -large.

Mr. Worrell D. Nero J.D., L.E.C. and Mr. Cedric Liburd have been granted the honour of providing ambassadorial support to the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, and represent the Government on matters of state.

His Excellency Ambassador Cedric Liburd, of Upper Monkey Hill, St. Peters, Saint Kitts, is a former Minister of Government. He was elected to parliament in 1995 under the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration and served as the Minister of Communications, Works, and Public Utilities.

In 1999, he was adjudged “Man of the Year” by the Leeward Times for his outstanding contributions to the Federation’s economic development.

Ambassador Liburd served for another two terms in Parliament in 2000 and 2004 and was appointed Minister of Agriculture, Co-operatives, Fisheries, Lands and Housing.
