A Private Estate in Nevis is looking for a positive individual to join our team as a full-time Assistant Vehicle and Equipment Mechanic.

The role requires someone neat in appearance, with a good attitude and strong work ethic, who is highly dependable, honest, and reliable.

The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask and take direction, excellent time management, and communication skills. The job may require frequent heavy lifting and carrying, bending, stooping, climbing of ladders and stairs, use of power tools, hand tools and other vehicle and equipment repair tools. Company’s procedure and guidelines must be practiced.

Duties include:

• Assist the Mechanic in the hands-on maintenance and repair of vehicles, small machinery and heavy equipment

• Perform preventive maintenance and daily operational checks on vehicles and equipment

• Assist with the inventory and distribution of supplies and parts

• Serve as a supplemental equipment operator/driver in the absence of such personnel

Qualified individuals should have 1-3 years of experience working on vehicles and equipment. Strong technical skills, vocational training, or equivalent job experience is preferred. A good working knowledge of vehicle mechanics, small engines, machinery and heavy equipment is desirable. A valid driver’s license is required.

Must be able to legally work in Nevis and provide a Police Clearance Certificate. Competitive salary and benefits provided. Occasional late nights, public holidays and weekend work are required.
