Male In Photo Wanted For Larceny Not Murder

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Police will be investigating how a photograph of a young man wanted in connection with a larceny, got into the public domain and was being circulated as that of a murder suspect.

District A Commander Superintendent Cromwell Henry told WINN FM Monday, that the photo was acquired by police from a privately owned security camera.

“The picture was sent out in a police press release yesterday asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the person pictured in an investigation we are doing into larceny of an unattended vehicle. We recognize that the picture was being circulated in social media stated that the person was wanted for their involvement with the recent robbery and murder. We did not [send] out…any photos asking for assistance in that case,” Superintendent Henry said.

“The photograph would have originally come from a member of the public. We use a number of sources to get photos…to get assistance with our investigation and so we cannot say for sure how it would have gotten out in relation to the murder.”
