Man Who Beat Pastor With A Pipe Pleads Guilty

The man who attacked a Nevis pastor and beat him in the head with a metal pipe has pleaded guilty to the offense.Evrol Daniel went before the Charlestown High Court on Tuesday (Apr 10) to stand trial for the offense of unlawful wounding stemming from the assault on the clergyman in August 2016.

According to the details of the case, Daniel, who reportedly suffers from a mental illness, attacked the pastor one Sunday evening outside the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Butlers following a church service.The pastor reported to police that the attack was unprovoked, that Daniel approached him with his hands behind his back as the pastor.
