Parliament Told of Prison Inmate Getting Free Weekends

St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): There are claims coming out of parliament, that a prison inmate convicted of murder, is being allowed to spend weekends at home with his family.

The allegation was made by Opposition Senator Nigel Carty, who told Parliament that he has first-hand knowledge of what he described as a breach of prison regulations.

Opposition MP Carty made the allegation while debating the Prison Amendment Bill in the National Assembly Thursday (May 9).
