Scorpions Pegged Back by Hurricanes

THE Leeward Islands Hurricanes have rocked host, the Jamaica Scorpions on the opening day of their ninth round encounter in the Digicel Four-day Professional Cricket League.
At tea on day one, the Scorpions were locked on 196 for 9, as they fight to post a competitive first innings total.Winning the toss this morning at Sabina Park, the visitors chose to bowl, and they quickly reaped success when in-form bowler, Jeremiah Louis removed John Campbell for 28 – with the score on 41 for1.
Campbell’s wicket triggered a mini collapse, as Chadwick Walton fell with the score on 61; he was followed by Assad Fudadin, five runs later.Chaim Holder then removed Paul palmer for eight, leaving the home side struggling on 91 for 4. However, a brilliant half century from Jermaine Blackwood (81), assisted the recovery efforts.
