DESPITE a recent announcement by the Minister of Sport, Jonel Powell, that Warner Park would stage matches during the West Indies busy home series later this year, no games will be coming to Basseterre.

This comes as Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced today (May 14) the schedule and venues for the home series against South Africa, Australia and Pakistan.The men’s season is slated for June through August 2021 and will feature four test matches, three ODIs and 15 T20s.

Beginning with the South Africa series, CWI said the Test and T20 International (T20I) series against the Proteas, which have been rescheduled from 2020, would start the international summer.Saint Lucia and Grenada will be the host venues for the series. According to CWI, the South Africans are due to arrive in St. Lucia on June 1 and would play two Test matches at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, followed by five T20Is at the Grenada National Cricket Stadium from June 26 to July 3.
