Special Olympians Net 11 Medals At Games

St. Kitts Nevis Special Olympics team 2019

St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): St. Kitts and Nevis struck gold in Abu Dhabi at the 2019 Special Olympic World Games.

According to the Special Olympics website, the Federation has recorded 11 medals, 6 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals.

Tuesday, the Federation’s Robert Liddie captured a gold medal and Shane Nisbett captured a silver medal in the cycling events.

Earlier medals were won by Tanique Richards (Gold) in 200m open water swim; Lemuel Hobson (Gold) in Swimming; Jamor Merchant Gold in 5k Cycling; and Shakie Stapleton (Gold) in tennis.

Minister of Sport, Shawn Richards who is travellingwith the team told WINN that all Kittitians and Nevisians should be proud.
