St. Kitts-Nevis Federal Parliament to debate critical Bills in the coming weeks

embers of the Federal Parliament in St. Kitts and Nevis are expected to be very busy in the coming weeks and months as the law-making body is set to conclude its work on a number of critical Bills.

Among the Bills, is the landmark Cannabis Bill, 2019, which was introduced in the National Assembly in May. The Bill outlines the legal framework governing the cultivation and use of marijuana in St. Kitts and Nevis.However, previously existing legislation relating to drug abuse and misuse will need to be amended. Attorney General and Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs, Honourable Vincent Byron Jr. said his staff has been working diligently on these changes.
