Summer Safety Programme in St. Kitts off to an excellent start

The 16th Annual Summer Safety Programme organized by the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services (SKNFRS) got off to an excellent start on Monday (July 16) with hundreds of children eager to make new friends and learn safety practices that they can apply in their daily lives.The camp runs from July 16 to 20, 2018, and caters to 300 children between the ages of five to 12 years. It will be held simultaneously at the Basseterre Fire Station, Edgar T. Morris Primary School in Tabernacle.

Fire Sub Station Officer, Rommel Williams, welcomed the dignitaries and the children to the opening and said that the department was pleased to host the camp again this year. He encouraged the students to have fun and to be sure that they pay attention to the tips that will be shared over the next five days.
