Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 20, 2019 (SKNVIBES)

AFTER a plea from the St. Kitts Cricket Association, Cricket West Indies has approved a change in venue for the game between Barbados Pride and Canada in the Colonial Medical Insurance Super50 Cup scheduled for Saturday (Nov. 23).

In a statement issued yesterday (Nov. 19), Cricket West Indies indicated that the St. Kitts Cricket Association cited logistical reasons for the shift. The match was originally scheduled to be a day/night game contested at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium in Basseterre, but it will now be a day game played at the Conaree Cricket Centre.
Meanwhile, Cricket West Indies’ Technical Committee of Super50 Cup approved batsman Michail Powell as a replacement for injured pacer Ojay Shields in the Combined Campuses & Colleges Marooners.Shields suffered a lower back strain in the Marooners game against Jamaica Scorpions last week Tuesday at Warner Park. This is the second injury replacement for the Marooners in the tournament.
