Teams from Nevis and Keys register first wins in 2019 Harris Basketball League

Competition proper in the 2019 edition of the Harris Basketball League (BHL), sponsored by Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, started Tuesday evening September 3 at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex’s basketball court.Slated for play were two entertaining games that involved two Molineux-based teams facing visiting teams, one from Sister-Island Nevis, and the other from Keys in Constituency Number Eight.

The first game saw Nevis’ Eagles come up against Inner City Young Ballers. Match’s star player was Trevorn Simmonds of the visiting team who scored 23 points, and made eight defensive rebounds, six offensive rebounds, six assists, three steals, and two blocks. On the home team, Kendrick Williams scored 13 points, and made two defensive rebounds, three offensive rebounds, three assists, and four steals.
