Kaylia Charles of the Tucker Clarke Primary School and Khalil Burroughs of the George Moody Stuart School were adjudged the co-champions of the Rotary Club of Liamuiga’s Spelling Bee after 20 rounds of intense competition.

The competition which is in its fifteenth year had 23 schools registered to participate.Past President of the Rotary Club of Liamuiga, Marcus Natta, explained the importance of having the spelling bee.“The Rotary Club of Liamuiga, I think that everybody recognizes that Rotary focuses a lot on youth and community development and this was one of our initial projects in St Kitts and Nevis in that regard. And we geared it towards primary school because fostering that early love for reading, that early love for learning in general.
