CRICKET West Indies has confirmed its final training squad ahead of the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup slated to be played in the Caribbean between January and February.

In addition, it has been confirmed that Shivnarine Chanderpaul will be part of the management set up of the team for the tournament.According to the CWI, the West Indies legend will join the West Indies Rising Stars U19s squad as the batting consultant for the upcoming High-Performance Camp in Antigua as part of the preparations for the tournament.

Chanderpaul is the newest member of the coaching staff, headed by Head Coach Floyd Reifer, and will be part of this preparation period, which runs from November 15 to 28 at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.Jimmy Adams, CWI’s Director of Cricket said: “We want to welcome Shivnarine Chanderpaul to the Rising Stars U19s group and we look forward to him working with our young players at this critical stage in their development pathway.
