Work soon to begin on more low income homes

Basseterre, St. Kitts, Monday, 5th April, 2019, (MyVueNews.com) – Mortgage Manager at the National Housing Corporation, Camilia Williams, has given some assurance to the applicants for low income homes around the island, that new houses are under construction and will soon be available to those who have been seeking government assistance.

She said this week while on a local radio program that some 300 homes are projected to be completed shortly. But she explained that 152 are still under construction and that another 119 have been “signed out”.

She said the term “signed out” means that the prospective home owners have affixed their signature to the necessary documents as a precondition to taking possession of the new houses.
