BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, Aug. 14.2018 – A one-week cricket training camp geared towards youths opened yesterday at the Edgar Gilbert Sporting Complex in Molineaux, and it will see the children sharpening their skills in the sport.

With the assistance of Cricket West Indies and Scotia Bank St. Kitts and Nevis, the group will learn proper techniques and the art of playing cricket from several of the top coaches on the island.
The purpose of the camp is to assist those students participating to make an easy transition from the primary school Kiddy Cricket Programme to the CWI grassroots level.
Minister of Sport, Shawn Richards, while delivering the feature address, commended the organizers for the camp, pointing out that projects such as the training session will assist local, regional and international cricket to be one of the pinnacle sports.
